KRASNOYARSK

After traveling more than 8000 km on the plain we have arrived to Krasnoyarsk. Krasnoyarsk is a city on the river Yenisei with around 1 million inhabitants and the area about 300 sq. km., three times larger than Barcelona. This is our first stop on our journey to the shaman's land.

This self-service dinnery "Sjem Slona" has a very colorful safari interior with saturated acid colors and non stop house music. The most of the food there tastes bad. But it is cheap and some dishes are even okay. For example pilaw and some potatos dishes.

On the first day we take a walk through the city and at the evening we went to photograph the Kommunialniy Bridge. After that we met a friend Sergei. Whom we, actually, never met before. He was kindly introduced to us in the internet by one shaman Ah-Puur Kam, whom we will meet in Abakan. After meeting Sergei, we went all together to eat something. It was a Georgian food in the restaurant “Baran i Biser”.
On the next day Sergei took us to the “insider” places of his hood. He told us, that through the city archives he found out, that his ancestors were living in Krasnoyarsk for over 400 years. Sergei is also a practitionar of eastern spiritual practices with western approach and qigong.

Krasnoyarsk Dam.  A 124-metre (407 ft) high concrete gravity dam located on the Yenisey River about 30 kilometres (19 mi) upstream from Krasnoyarsk in Divnogorsk, Russia. It was constructed from 1956 to 1972 and supplies 6,000 MW of power, mostly used to supply the KrAZ (Krasnoyarsky Aluminievyy Zavod, Krasnoyarsk Aluminum Plant). Both power and aluminum plants are controlled by the RUSAL company. (wikipedia)
